Terra Nova Will Be Great

July 20th, 2011 | Jason Nation

When I first heard the title, “Terra Nova,” I had no idea what it would mean as far as show and premise.  Once I read the initial pilot script it somewhat caught my attention.  Without any visuals it was hard to piece together, but I was able to create a fantasy world of new ideas that please me for a successful television series.  Once the first previews started airing during the Superbowl, my geeky fanboy side got butterflies.  I instantly knew this is something I would enjoy, similar to when LOST and Heroes were first introduced.  This is something new, something different, something innovating…something that will work.

I’ve always enjoyed sci-fi type shows and there was no reason for me to pass on this one.  I’ve been doing fansites for television shows for the past ten years and I just get some kind of rush doing them.  It’s my way of saying Thank You to the networks for providing such great entertainment to the fans.  Being dedicated to any show, I love the agenda of finding news and being one of the first to hear new things.

As the countdown continues for the premiere of Terra Nova, I think I’m most looking forward to the response the fans will create after they witness this change in television culture.  I’m exciting for the characters and how they are developed to survive in this new environment they have traveled to.  I am a sucker for twists and cliffhangers and I think this type of plot carries many directions for a long lasting series.  I hope people give this series a chance once it premieres as the stakes are high.  I know I will be doing my best to help promote the show up until the last episode.

Hi Travis Lee, I can’t wait for the show and I’m spending a more enjoyable summer anticipating it because it has all the elements of a hit show. I’m sure it will be a long-lasting series! -Jodi

Hi Travis–Your exuberance on the board shines through and you shine through on this blog as well. One good thing this show has going for it is a good advance buzz. Imagine what Life on Mars might have been if anybody knew about it in advance!! Past is passed, and thankfully we can have a lot of fun up to the premier and during the series. And we can all enjoy ourselves together while eagerly awaiting the release of all the pieces of the puzzle

Did any of you see the first episode at Comic Con? All I can say is that it was AMAZING. I posted a bunch of reviews and a write up on the site.

Am with you Jason..I hope the network and the ppl give this show a fair chance before coming to any type of conclusions, especially, not going totally by ratings alone..Shows are more than ratings, they survive on the feedback and welcoming by the ppl who watch them, many shows have been canceled bcoz of not having high ratings on the network, like Knight Rider-the new version, was canceled after it’s first season only bcoz it didn’t have high ratings on NBC, but many fans, like me, really liked the show and ABC’s Flash Forward was canceled after only a few episodes, I hope the ppl at FOX really take into consideration the fan feedback and not the ratings entirely bcoz Terra Nova REALLY looks to be promising…I JUST LOVE IT!  All my BEST to the Terra Nova Team!
